Armani's
Looking down on the bay at night makes this relatively
expensive place worth the trip. In most every city
there's a view not to miss. This is it in Tampa. Could
be romantic, could be impressive, could be fun, or
depending upon your mood of the evening, just another
interesting evening. Dining here must be described
as "elegant". Traditional Northern Italian.

Mise en Place Restaurant
Because management requires the use of fresh ingredients
for each meal, the menu changes daily. It includes
such creative choices as roast duck w/ wild-strawberry
sauce, Creole spiced mahi-mahi, or pecan-crusted rack
of lamb. The place is upscale and fashionable, but
not intimidating. |
| GREAT INTIMATE ATMOSPHERE |
Six Tables Fine Dining
Great service, food and atmosphere in an intimate
setting. Only six tables for that special occasion.
The evening begins with appetizers and champagne,
then soup, salad, entree, a break for cheese and fruit,
then finishes with a decadent dessert. Menu changes
occur often, but have included rack of venison, duck
a la’ orange and chateaubriand. Known for its
wine list. Expect to spend 2-3 hours. |
| GREAT ITALIAN |
Bernini
Italian
An elegant setting in the building that once was the
Bank of Ybor City. It's an elegant interior with sophistication.
You will find the "Movers" of the city here
at lunch or dinner. Live jazz and entrees, like Black
Angus beef, orange-glazed duck and salmon capriccio.
There's an open dining room with views through the
entire restaurant and an "upstairs" Martini
and cigar bar. Named after Italian sculptor Bernini,
the desserts do him justice.

| GREAT PLACE TO BE SEEN |
Malio's Italian
This is the top "to be seen" place in Tampa.
A 30-year tradition of romance, power and struggles.
Dimly lit, mixed between casual and elegant the menu
has seafood, steaks, and pastas. Filet mignon and
rack of lamb are the best sellers, followed by Canadian
scallops, lobster tails, and pasta cioppino. Live
bands and dancing in the lounge. There's a collage
of Malio's celebrity patrons on the wall. If you're
famous, bring your headshot! |
