FireHouse Realty
works with many families and corporations planning a move
to the Tampa Bay area. We have taken great care in producing
a comprehensive relocation guide for many communities within
the Tampa Bay area. Each neighborhood is defined in great
detail and is presented with photographs.
The neighborhood that you choose to live in can have a big
impact on your lifestyle. There are a lot of issues that
need to be considered - safety, convenience, amenities,
schools, crime, etc. Make a list of the activities that
you and your family actively participate in, or stores that
you regularly visit. Determine how far you would have to
travel from each neighborhood you are considering to the
most common places you drive to (such as movies, fitness
center, school, church, etc.)
If you have school-age children in your family, then certainly
the school district is very important to you. A visit to
the schools in the different neighborhoods could prove to
be very enlightening. Even if you don't have children, a
house in a good school district will be easier to sell in
the future.
Is the neighborhood economically stable? What is the percentage
of homes to apartments? Apartments don't necessarily diminish
property values; however, their presence could indicate
a more transient population. You also will want to make
note of vacant businesses or homes that have been for sale
for long periods of time.
Crime statistics are also very important and you need to
find out the specifics for the areas you are considering
moving to. What type of crime is being committed and is
the trend increasing or decreasing?
FireHouse Realty will be more than happy to provide you
with information about price appreciation trends in the
neighborhood. It is important to note that past performance
(no matter how good it is) is no guarantee of future results.
This type of information is valuable; however, because it
may give you a sense of how good an investment your home
will prove to be. A member of the FireHouse Team may also
be able to tell you about planned developments or other
changes in the neighborhood (like a new school or gas station)
that might affect value.
Ultimately, the only way to determine if a neighborhood
is right for you is to see it for yourself! Once you have
narrowed down your choice to two or three neighborhoods,
go there with your family and walk around. Do you feel comfortable?
Are the homes tidy and well maintained? Do people seem friendly?
Is this a place you can call "home"?
If you should require information on a neighborhood or community

SUCCESS
STORY: "Julie, I want to thank you
very much for locating the perfect house for me in Hunters
Green. After giving you such specific details from my wish
list, I was surprised at how well this house met those requests.
Since this property came on the market right after I talked
to you, I guess it was destiny - but more realistically,
it reflects your keen ability to match a buyer's request
with the features of a particular home. Certainly, none
of the homes that I identified on my own came close to the
one you found for me. Once again, thank you."
